Heartbreak in South Africa

                                                 We left Buffalo on Wednesday morning at 8:10…it’s now 6:00 p.m. on Friday evening in South Africa.   Not only have we traveled 8,000 miles in the past three days, we’ve also experienced some of the greatest heartbreak of our lives. LeeAnne’s senior year in high school…2005-2006.   Stephen had a friend, a Native American “boy”, who needed a place to stay.   His disrespect and abuse of home privileges had led to his mother telling him to leave.   We had already know Sampson for a few years…and so we opened our home to him.   Rules:   no drugs and you have to stay in school and finish your senior year.   We had no idea how that year would turn out for Sampson, but he took the opportunity to make something “better” of his life and graduated with special awards and the opportunity to go to college.   To do so, he had to get “emancipated” from his family.   His mother wouldn’t sign his college financial papers.   He left that “family” o
